Step 1 = How Our Certificate Of Sponsorship Works
1. We understand that you are bound by the sponsors rules, however there is a way out. Setting up your own Limited Company means you can work for whoever you like and simply send them an invoice for the work. We are working with immigration lawyers to equip you with the documents to self-sponsor with the Home Office (depending on their terms and conditions).
Step 2 = How To Get VAT Registered
2. Going VAT registered means that you can reclaim the tax on business expenses such as fuel, meeting costs and so on. To comply with the law you must open a bank account in the name of the company. To compile your VAT return it is essential that you mail me physical receipts, if they come as a PDF just forward them to us to print out and place in your file.
Step 3 = What we do for you
3. We create your Limited Company for you, it usually takes around 2 months to get everything through. We do all the paperwork and registrations needed, file accounts with HMRC, Companies House and so on. We pay ALL the required and necessary fees on your behalf and in return charge 25% of the submitted VAT return for our time. We appreciate there are scams out there and to show confidence you pay NOTHING up front.Step 4 = Seeking work
4. Once you have your Limited Company you can offer your services to whomever you wish, no job or time restrictions apply. You would do the work and send them an invoice and the money goes into your business account. From there you can use it however you wish.Step 5 = Tax
5. You would be liable for Corporation Tax, as such we strongly suggest you put a quarter of all money received into a separate account. This means that you have funds available at the end of each tax year – no nasty surprises. In regard to paying yourself you need to check with Universal Credit (if applicable), they usually allow £411 a month without penalty.
Step 6 = Home Office
6. At the end of your allowed stay you can show the Home Office that you have been busy building yourself a future in the UK. It is not however enough owning a company, it must be “active”, this means that you have to submit accounts and hopefully make some sales.
